Supplemental Instruction

A Certified American Teacher will work with your child on their foundational skills and topics they are struggling with in class or to support learning extension for students in need of additional challenges. Each week teachers connect with students through Live Online Sessions. Teachers are also available to answer questions and correct assignments via email or text messages throughout the week. Teachers review homework and class work, as well as, the class curriculum to design a Personalized Learning Plan. The teacher assigns weekly practice to reinforce classroom concepts or remediate foundational skills. The teacher also supports the student on upcoming topics, homework, tests, etc.

With the supplemental instruction service, our teachers review report cards, notes from parent-teacher conferences, previous assignments and tests. When necessary, our teachers can re-teach lessons not grasped in the classroom and provide practice work for any missing foundational skills. Our teachers can also provide a learning extension plan for students who are in need of more challenging material or who qualify for gifted and talented programs but do not have access to a proper program. If needed, our teacher can communicate with the student’s teacher at school to develop a well-aligned learning plan. The teacher can also suggest hands-on projects, books and materials to extend the student’s learning or you can add a fun monthly Discovery Kit to the Full Support Program which may include hands-on projects, books and materials selected by the teacher to extend the student’s learning. Our three-month program includes 12 Live Session tutoring time and our six-month program 24 sessions.
